Ceramic Serving Tray

The challenge for this group project was to work with ceramic and create a serving tray. We wanted to design a serving tray which would hold a wine bottle as well as two stemless wineglasses. We used a CNC to carve out the negative of the mold in plaster and then created the actual piece from slip casting. Though the final piece was warped through the last firing, we still gained valuable insight into the use of ceramic in product design.
