Kindling Candle Holder

This was an exercise in exploring the process of bent wood lamination. Through the bending and gluing of thin layers of wood in a mold, a form such as this may be achieved. Though we did not make a full scale model due to time constraints, we were able to practice the process with a more pliable poster-paper. The design was meant to be created through the use of only one mold, repeated 6 times and then supported by aluminum feet. The candles in the rendering are 3 inches across for a sense of scale.
