Alpine Bench

I chose early on to guide my work with the idea that it would serve both the purpose as a bench and coat rack. Having established that, I decided to design the bench in such a way that these two elements would work together to emphasize verticality and mirror the shape of the mountains it is named after. The coat rack separates for easy transport and all joints are constructed with double FESTOOL dominos to last more than a lifetime. Finally, the bench is made of white ash, finished with a coffee stain.
